Love

Love

It’s not Love that scares the crap outta me. It’s the moment you tell someone you Love them and realize the complete and utter vulnerability that comes along with it. Even when you know it’s mutual. Suddenly, there’s the absolute knowledge that at some point you’re going to get your heart broken. And not because you think or believe the relationship will end, but because no matter how much Love you create, things will happen between the two of you that will break your heart.

So, is Love Worth the Heartbreak?

We get our hearts broken most every day. Walking down the street and seeing a young person begging for spare change breaks my heart. Seeing an adult embarrass their young child by punishing them in public breaks my heart. Seeing the garbage that washes up on the shores of your oceans breaks my heart. Not in a way that ends with me being a weeping mess in bed for a few days, but heartbroken non the less.

We say those words and open our selves up for heartbreak. So why do we do it? Because it’s worth it. Always.

Yes, Love is Worth the Heartbreak.

Go, tell them you Love them. Start with yourself…

Yes, yes, yes it’s worth it! How rich my life is because I have chosen to Love…friends, children, lovers. My world is sweeter even in heartache from the love lived, expressed and received! ❤

Having been in the midst of heart break for the past 15 days, the only answer I have for you is yes. Yes it is worth it. Even in the not knowing. The uncertainty can be crazy making, but it still ends up being worth it. I don’t know how…but it does. And the more our hearts get broken, at least I find this true for me, the more room there is for more heart break. Thanks for writing this today. I needed the reminder. That yes. Love is worth the heart break.
